The partners of the Interreg CE TRANSGEO project gathered on October 16–17, 2025 for the meeting related to the project’s 5th period in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia. The event provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the project’s progress, exchange experiences, and plan upcoming activities.
As part of the program, participants visited a former hydrocarbon well that has been successfully repurposed for geothermal energy utilization, as well as a late 19th-century building—currently operating as a library—heated by an innovative paraffin-based latent heat storage system.
The meeting once again demonstrated the strong collaboration among partners and the shared commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions through the reuse of abandoned wells.
